GHS pictograms identify the hazards associated with chemicals and warn users of precautions that should be taken to minimize the effects of potential exposure.
Currently the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) recognizes nine hazard pictograms. The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) mandates the usage of eight pictograms with the exception of the environment pictogram since environmental hazards fall outside OSHA's jurisdiction.
SafetyCal offers all nine GHS pictograms in three label sizes, (1", 2", 4"), two roll sizes (250 or 500 roll), and the following material types by default:
- Adhesive Coated Paper – 60-lb. paper ideal for temporary, dry indoor applications. Cost effective material with easily writable matte surface. Has a permanent acrylic adhesive back with peel off liner.
- Adhesive Poly – 2.5-mil printed label that is both strong and tear-resistant. Ideal for general purpose indoor and some outdoor labeling as it is flexible, moisture-resistant, and doesn’t wrinkle or shrink. Acrylic adhesive back with a gloss surface that is non-coated, so it can be written on by pen or marker.
